1st birthday party ideas

Wow. It really makes me think back when I have to think about 1st birthday party ideas. You see, I have three children of which the youngest is seven. But I remember 1st birthday parties with great memories.

Some of the best 1st birthday party ideas that my wife and I’ve come up with have been the simplest. Since a year old is still pretty young, nothing is more fun then to bake two cakes. One will be a normal cake and the other is an oversized cupcake.

Take time to decorate the cupcake with wonderful yummy things that a baby of one could eat. Stay away from hard candies or other items that baby could choke on. But use colorful icing. Babies love lots of color and they’ll love a very colorful cake.

Now the nice thing about a seperate cake for baby is it allow you to put baby in his or her high chair and plunk that cake in from of baby. Your son or daughter will have an absolute blast with it! No nicities here! Let baby at it.

Now, it’s your job to video tape the whole thing. Still to this day, we’ve laughed time and time again looking at the cake eating from our 1st year olds. Truly a blast!

Now, it’s up to you what other 1st birthday party ideas you can come up with. It’s really nice for baby to have just family around. This way, baby can really enjoy the party!

OtherĀ great 1st birthday party ideas are things like lightly wrapping up a gift with noisey wrapping paper. Again, baby will get a blast out of tearing up the paper! Baby will have an absolute blast.

It’s also really great when baby can be excited by his or her siblings! The other kids will become extremely excited with the party and baby, really not knowing what’s going on, will surely get excited too!

So, my best advice is to allow baby to have a ton of fun! Lots of color and lots of messy fun is in order. Otherwise, enjoy brainstorming 1st birthday party ideas!
