1st Birthday?
By fthomas | June 10, 2009
My son’s first birthday is coming up next month. I have a range of different age kids coming to his party. The theme is camoflauge. Any ideas on party favors, that I can also save money?

That is a great idea!!! Just blow up some green balloons! Candy in little baggies is the cheapest party favor that kids like the best!

can you get the little parachute army men at a local dollar store? These are great party favors, and cheap too! Your local dollar store may have camouflage bandanas for the kids to wear as party “hats”. I love dollar stores, as you can get the party favor bags, and candy to fill them really cheap. You could always do the mini ****** guns. For older kids, maybe skip the candy, do camouflage face painting…you can get the face paint pretty cheap there too!

Just make up little bags w/ candy and small toys.
Ex. of small toys- bugs, balls, bubbles, etc
Go to the favor section @ the party store & you will see plenty of things to use to fill your camoflauge bags. Don’t buy too much because it can become expensive.
For my son’s 1st birthday party, I made up small Elmo bags. Each child went home w/ an Elmo bag– inside the bag was:
* a bag of chips (buy big box of small assorted chips from supermarket)
* a small bug
*a small puzzle
* less than 10 pieces of candy
The children loved their favor bags:)

get a big bag of army men, you can get like a 100 for a $1 or 2 at the dollar store. Also you can make things, but to be honest, he is only one-you dont need to go over the top, yet! Also you can get ballons for decorations, and let each child take one home. Have fun.
